If there were an answer to this question, it would have to be The Summit Series.  Although a new concept, the convention has guests nation wide praying for an invitation to this exclusive meeting of the minds.  The Summit Series divides its focus into five professional avenues: Innovation, Business, Altruism, Personal Growth, and Arts.

It doesnt have to… these five different choices offer presenting attendees with names like Mark Cuban, John Legend, Russell Simmons and resumés that include: the founder of craigslist, founder of AOL, NBC sports reporter, and the creators of Guitar Hero.  The minds that will be involved with this weekend getaway will surely be capable of sharing their stories in ways that can inspire the young leader.  It is invitation only, which may deter some. But The Truth Today is that anything is possible if there is enough will to get the job done.  I have no clue how an invitation is earned, but surely there is a way…The Summit Series can bring any leader to the top of their profession.

A gentleman works to give back, to make a difference, to reduce his carbon footprint for the same reason that he’ll give you cab fare when you’re over-served and then never say another word about it- it’s the right thing to do.

To be a gentleman requires balance and consistency.  These are the qualities that make a man dependable, and dependability, you could argue, is what makes a man a man.

Like anything of value, this is not acheived without effort.

The decade of the new millenium just ended, that decade brought with it a series of historical dates and memories. We all lived through it.  We all saw how these events changed our lives forever…

Esquire magazine recently presented its readers with a brilliant article that recognizes the many events of the past decade. This excerpt allows the reader to look back and recognize the significance on our society. So here it is, check it out:

“One of the 3,650 days saw religious medievalism commit mass murder in broad daylight, and another one of them saw a major American city inundated and destroyed as a functional habitat for human beings. And what are those two days now, at the end of the 3,650, even as unthinkable as they would have been when the centuries turned, one into the other? Two wars begun as a consequence of that first day grind on, out of sight and out of mind. The city ruined in that second day is still captured at its heart by neglect and decay. They have become part of a past we have become too busy to reflect on, much less understand.

And one of the 3,650 days saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average close at 14,164.53, the highest it had ever reached, and another one of them saw it close at 6,500, while serious gray men in expensive suits talked darkly of depression and worse, and came hat in hand to the government to avert the gallows that you could see in their eyes. One of the 3,650 saw a space shuttle burn up deep in the skies of a Texas morning, and another one of them saw a robot vehicle wandering the surface of Mars, and another one saw a projectile burrow deep into the moon and find water there.

One of the 3,650 saw a bridge collapse in Minneapolis, and another one saw scientists complete a map of the entire human genome.”

The Truth Today is, we live in a changed world. The past ten years of our lives brought upon a kind of change that was unfavorable. People came to fear Change.  And then, ironically enough, it was Change that inspired millions to believe in our nation. Whether you believe in this change or not, its impossible to ignore the shift that has occurred.
